About Dr. Obermiller

Jama Obermiller, DDS, is a Grand Island, Nebraska, native who is proud to bring her dental experience to Gentle Dental Care in her hometown’s downtown. Dr. Obermiller is passionate about dentistry, as she considers it a dream job to create beautiful smiles and give patients a boost of confidence.

Dr. Obermiller received her bachelor’s degree in biology at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. She went on to attend Creighton School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, where she earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Obermiller completed a preceptorship in dental implantology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. She’s board-certified and a trained Invisalign® and Lumineers® provider.

She has almost two decades of general dentistry experience, all with Gentle Dental Care. Dr. Obermiller creates long-lasting relationships with each of her patients. She offers a wide array of dentistry procedures including dental implants, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, veneers, Invisalign®, teeth whitening, dentures, emergency dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and much more.

Dr. Obermiller prides herself on giving back to the Grand Island community. She has served on several local boards including the St. Francis Foundation and the Third City Community Clinic, where she played an integral role in starting a dental clinic at the facility.

She stays up to date with the latest advances in dental technology and procedures with continuing education. In her free time, Dr. Obermiller enjoys spending time with her husband and five beautiful children, attending their sporting events and other activities, traveling, and enjoying family lake time. She is currently welcoming new patients to Gentle Dental Care.
